The correct question is “Are your prices competitive?” and the answer is “YES!” Our company and business model are one of the fastest-growing segments of the travel industry. In fact, according to all travel-related media and publications, the share of home-based agencies has grown over the past decade and surpassed the share of retail location agencies. Our advisors will have access to everything that any other advisor or company would have, plus much more. Many of our preferred travel suppliers will price match, and you will have access to rates unavailable to the public. While our travel products’ prices are competitive, our advisors must differentiate themselves from online booking sites through exceptional service, personal relationships, and travel expertise. Xullu.com has working relationships with some large online travel agencies (also known as OTA), and our advisors may sell their products and earn a commission.
While you can sell airline tickets as a travel advisor, we don’t encourage you to focus your business on selling air. In May of 2002, the airline industry stopped paying commissions to travel advisors. Most companies now charge a small service fee on all airline tickets. You can add a service fee to the price of your client’s ticket. This applies to both domestic and international air travel.
We realize that many of our new advisors are joining our company to earn additional income, learn the business or purely for personal benefits. Therefore, we don’t want our advisors to spend any more than is necessary. As such, we have designed our system to include everything you need to start and run your own travel business. There are no other costs to join our program. Additionally, all our online training is included in our program at no additional cost to you. If you choose to attend a live event with us or our suppliers (and we hope you do!), those events are an additional cost.
We realize that most individuals joining our programs have little, and in most cases, no experience in the travel industry. For that reason, all our systems, processes, procedures, education, training, and support have been designed with that in mind. We begin by familiarizing new advisors with our systems. The New Advisor courses, which are web-based, allow you to learn the essentials of booking travel and running a business at your own pace. Our preferred suppliers will invite our new advisors to their live educational webinar, on- site inspections and the educational trips. Our expert support team members are standing by to assist you with any questions.
We get asked this all the time. Our business model is growing for a reason. Unlike travel booking websites, home-based travel advisors can connect clients with the best vacation experiences and provide personal customer service from start to finish. This is especially true on more profitable, complex travel like cruises, family vacations, luxury vacations and international vacation packages.According to travel industry publications, there is a shortage of travel advisors in U.S. and the demand for the experience travel advisors are growing. Most of the affluent travelers preferred to use travel advisor for their vacation plan, not from the internet.
